Hi.

1) SOLD Konosuke Fujiyama 240 Blue #2 gyuto
1550aud. The box it comes with is an FM box, it is not its original one. Refurbished, the knife was in perfect condition and it wasn't used much at all, I only sent it to get the shinogi repolished. There was no thinning or loss of HEIGHT. SOLD

2) SOLD Konosuke Fujiyama 270 Blue #2 gyuto
1850aud. Used but very very little, only polished the edge. SOLD

3) Hitohira Tanaka Kyuzo Blue #1 Watetsu 240 gyuto
1550aud. New.

4) SOLD GODAI 240 gyuto
1550aud. Used but very very little, hasn't seen a stone. SOLD

Prices are in AUD because my PayPal account only accepts that currency.

Thank you.

I'd love to hear a bit more about the Watetsu. What exactly is it? And how are the specs? It's the first time I'm learning of that blade's existence, and I'm honestly blown away!

Isn’t it a byproduct of tamahagane? It looks slaggy like wrought. Not many traditional artisans who even know how to make this sort of stuff properly (I think there are some specialists who make it for sword-making, in particular).

Well the box says it's Blue 1 steel, so it must be about the cladding and/or technique. I can't find any info on this knife online

Unfortunately I don't have many info myself about what watetsu is.
Rentetsu is wrought iron, namitetsu is wavy wrought iron, I just assume watetsu is either another form of wrought iron or a by-product of tamahagane as our friend said above.
Regarding the knife itself, to my knowledge there are only 2 in existence.
I don't think this watetsu was provided to Tanaka but rather he used some he found at the workshop. The details in the steel are very beautiful.

Kiyoshi Kato has made knives with watetsu cladding so the association with traditional nihonto sword making is probably valid.

I know these are pieces where you'd expect nobody to care about specs, but any chance you could post them? No matter how special the knife, I'd still use it. ;o)
Yes you are right. I appreciate these kind of comments.
How about a photo of the entire Hitohira, not just portions?
Yes, here is the collection.

Kono 240
2mm thick, however thicker point is at the shinogi line (thanks Morihiro), the weight is between 160 and 180, but I think closer to 180gr.
