How to Make a "Cookie Dough" Forge

I thought this was interesting and perhaps useful for some of our amateur knifemaker members.

Interesting, and I'd like to see a video of someone who has tried this.
As someone who's been blacksmithing for years, I'm skeptical that this will get hot enough or last long enough to do any real forging.
