I bought an Ikarashi because I heard good things about it so I decided it was time to try one. Unfortunately it's not the stone for me so it can go. It will develop a slurry with some pressure but I found it performs better when you first make a slurry with a diamond plate. The finish is in the 2-3k range and it produces an aggressive edge and lots of contrast. Don't really know what more I can say about it lol. The total amount the stone owes me is €165 or $180. I've used it 3 or 4 times so it hasn't really lost any of its thickness so I'd like to see that back. It's still cheaper than if you were to buy it from a dealer. The size is 193x74x50mm. Shipping within the EU is €13 and international shipping is $32.

The last stone I sent to the states took 3 weeks to reach its destination. Don't know if that makes a difference.

Well, I'm off to work. I have to repair the mast of a sailboat. Just my kind of thing.
