A bunch of stones that I used the hell out of, but don’t really need anymore.
1. Aizu: textbook Aizu. Easy to get a slurry. Leaves an edge that is about 4000 grit with a good amount of bite. And quite fast. About a 3 hardness. 213 x 72 x 62
Asking: $350 shipped
2. Narutaki suita: a rare narutaki suita that is soft(lv3), and leaves a very fine edge that is about 9000 grit. Good speed too. It is a muddy stone, but not quite as soft as a synthetic finishing stone. 205 x 73 x 39
Asking: $850 shipped
3. Morihei ohira: Descent ohira stone that leaves around a 6000 grit edge, with about a 3.5 hardness, and ok speed. Level of slurry seems to depend on steel.
207 x 77 x 41
Asking: $350 shipped
4. Nakayama kiita: typical nakayama that leaves around a 10k edge. The hardness is about 3.7. On the softer side for nakayama. Able to self slurry. And fast.
163 x 76 x 42
Asking: $1000 shipped
5. Tanba aoto: soft, muddy aoto that feels great to sharpen on. Leaves around a 2000 grit edge. 220 x 69 x 55
Asking: $250 shipped
6. Mauroyama ao suita: good sized ao suita that is usable on both surfaces. Produces around a 6000 grit edge, on the softer side, about a lv 3, and pretty fast. Easy to slurry. 218 x 85 x 43
Asking: $850 shipped
7. Atagoyama nashiji: a harder stone, about a lv 4.3. Slurry needs to be forced. Produces an edge that is about 7000 grit. And fast. 205 x 77 x 39
Asking: $250 shipped
Conus only.
