Back at it with some more extra knives that don’t get used like they should. CONUS only please.
JNS Y Tanaka Blue 1 240 Damascus Gyuto - Ho & Horn D Shape
Blade length: 245mm
Edge Length: 230mm
Heel Height: 50.3mm
Thickness at Heel: 2.97mm
Weight: 173.9g
Bought this as a few months back and the geometry really wasn’t my favorite. When it arrived it also had a micro chip in the heel of the knife which can be seen in the video which further turned me off. Edge has never been sharpened. Patina was removed with micro mesh and stone powder. Paid $600 and looking to get $450 $420 shipped.
Y Ikeda White 3 Abura Honyaki 210mm Gyuto - Ebony, Horn & Ivory Octagonal
Blade length: 215mm
Edge Length: 200mm
Heel Height: 45.70mm
Thickness at Heel: 2.82mm
Weight: 199.5g
This was my first honyaki and has been well used. Has been sharpened plenty of times and currently needs an edge. There are plenty of signs of use with this knife, the worst being a spot of pitting on the hagane directly beneath the kanji. Hamon is quite visible. This thing is incredibly difficult to photograph so please take a look at the videos to really see it in better detail. I paid $900 and considering the usage I am asking $500 450 shipped.
