Hi.

You almost never see these, it is Kaiden branded Konosuke x Chef's Armoury Australia.
It is an old knife, 10 years old or more, back when Chef's Armoury Australia used to do custom orders.
It is forged by Tanaka and Morihiro sharpened. This is the best taper you can find on a Shinogi style blade, trust me.
The knife is new.

I am asking 800750700USD shipped.

This is done by Konosuke itself, don't let the kanji fool you.

750usd shipped.

Do you have details on its height at heel, edge length and spine thickness?
Yes here are some pics.
The thickness out of the handle is a little short of 3mm, something like 2.75. The spine is chamfered.

Respectfully your description of Konosuke, Tanaka and Morihiro may be correct. It is very hard to verify especially for the outside of Australia people. Seeing as Chef's Armoury is still here can they help you provide some more specific background?

I spoke with Kosuke when I visited him in Japan. Fujiyama could only be sold to certain retailers, so at that time they had to come up with a different branding to provide these to the Australian market.

OK. And this is verifiable by Kosuke? Chef's Amoury? Or your statement?
Since it doesn't mean anything to you what I say, I suggest you send an email to Kosuke. He probably will tell you, but I can't guarantee since he doesn't know you that well.

Take a second and look at this from a buyers perspective. You are just a forum user here with the name "friz". Then you go on to use names of Kosuke, Konosuke, Takanak and Morihiro for your listing. And suggest a personal relationship.

Is it too much to ask some basic verification? Yes, any person can take the time to try to verify this information (emailing specific people and sellers). But it should be intrinsic on the seller to provider this info when requested.

This is very not a discussion for a public thread, considered I provided all the information you asked. I take this in private with you, in case you have any more doubts about this product and its origins. I'll send you a private message shortly.

Friz was kind enough to contact me via PM. I still stand by my concerns and am willing to share our conversation to anyone that requests it’s via PM.

All due respect you’re being a real ass right now. Regardless of how you feel, this is not the place to cast doubt or disparage an item for sale which is against the rules. By all means continue the discussion on another part of the forum.

All I'm going to say is that the damascus looks like Tanaka's (have had many), and the spine chamfering looks like Morihiro's style (I have one). Regardless, with paypal fees and shipping, the seller isn't making much over what a modern tanaka blue 1 damascus goes for anyway. Not like he's asking a ton of premium for this "prestige". Whoever the sharpener's name or the wholesalers name won't change the way it was made or will perform. If you like the looks, and specs, go for it or not.

Anyway, GLWS. This is a really cool piece. If it was a 240 I would be in.

You CAN'T find a Konosuke Fujiyama Damascus Blue #1 anywhere. If you contact a collector they will probably let one go for 1500usd or more.
As for the Damascus, since I have had many, I see the pattern/polish has changed over the years. This one being more rough at the touch, similar to sand blast but not like sand blast nowadays, while newer ones (last few years, since 2016 ish) is brighter, same as FM right now. I attach a picture of the last known of by Morihiro with the brighter damascus.
If I find the older iteration I will upload it later.

This is the Damascus 'polish'/finish? of the old old Fujiyama.
