For sale, one of my earliest stone purchases - a Kakiyama Type 30 Asagi Tomae
I did some research on Kakiyama, seems like a mine with this name does not exist, please correct me if I'm mistaken. Hence, I'd label this as a stone from an unknown mine. It is about 6000 grit, hardness about level 4 to 4.5 out of 5.
This stone is fast cutting, but since it's hard, it works well with a Nagura as well. I am including a small tsushima nagura with this one.
Approx. 925g, 200 x 74 x 25 mm
The lines on the sharpening surface are benign, and do not affect polishing or sharpening.
Asking what I paid a few years ago, 225 USD shipped CONUS or Europe. Elsewhere, I'll absorb the first 55 USD in shipping costs.
