Looking for some help with this knife identification. It’s an old double bevel deba. Thick and heavy and will clean up good I think. Would love to know what the Kanji says though. It’s limited- just the two characters

It's a very common stamp and you'll see it on a ton of different knives. It doesn't really mean anything. And yes double bevel deba are generally from Tosa but they are made by smiths in other regions as well.Great thanks! Any idea if that is indicative of a type of steel?
