My cousin is a chef and the King Hyper has always been one of her favourite stones. I've used it myself a few times as well and it's fast with a very nice feedback. It's a really nice stone to sharpen on.

its a nice stone that gives good contrast and fastish but dishes. could also consider a jns1k too.

Use it for contrast on my soft iron clad carbons. Gets muddy fast. Good feedback aggressive. Best to stay on top of flattening duties.

Thanks friends, the Hyper sounds like a worth while stone. I wonder how the Hyper differs from the Deluxe in the make up.

I have the softer version and I really enjoy working with it with my carbon knives. Definitely have to be diligent in keeping it flat.

I’ve olayed with several 1k stones this year. The King Hyper was recommended it and I like it. A quick soak and your off to the races, very little load up, nice feedback and does it’s job quickly. It’s a keeper.
