Selling a brand new Kiyoshi Kato Morihei Version 190mm gyuto. It's got a beautifully matched custom Turkish Walnut handle and saya from Graydon. I think this size is pretty rare - I've not seen many around in this size, especially in the Morihei version. It's new old stock.
I have about $2,200 into this set, or a touch more. I'm going to ask $1,800 which is what I paid for the knife alone, in the hopes that it gets sent to a good home. I feel like this is a knife that could both be a really good everyday performer based on the size and grind but also works on a display/knife stand as a beautiful representation of Kato's work (aside from that fact that it's not dammy, of course!).
Photos and specs are below - next to a Takada No Hamono 210 Hanabi for comparison.
