Iโ€™ve read about his prices being questionable but never any stories of him scamming people.
I would be more concerned about customer support in the event of loss or damage. Paying with unsecured funds gives the buyer zero protections which you really want shipping something like this overseas. Just not worth the risk especially at those prices.

I agree. Which is why I mentioned he asked for payment via wise. I purchased a takada from someone that way a while back and was nervous till it arrived. But everyone has their own level of risk tolerance.

Isn't this is more a problem of the delivery company than the seller?

The contract is with the sender. If they refuse to engage then you're SOL. The shipper has zero financial consequences if they decide not to participate.

Yes you are right. The shipper is only responsibe if there has been an special insurance, but the the full value has to be declared which rised the customs bill.

Regaring the responsability it looks like it depends on if the seller is a private person or a company. In this case the seller is a private person, but sending an invoice as a company. Quite tricky situation.

As someone that sells more than I buy these days, I always ask the buyer to chip in for 50/50 insurance. Its piece of mind for everyone. As a seller, its not my responsibility if a country has x duty on goods but without insurance, you can be completely screwed if anything goes wrong. Itโ€™s a two way street, hence itโ€™s always best to buy from people you can trust. Wago definitely isnโ€™t on that list for me.
