Hello, offloading more stones, as I've decided that I don't have the patience to really polish any of my knives.
This is a Maruoyama Shirosuita purchased from Watanabe ~1-2 months ago. Has been sealed in spar urethane.
These specs are from Watanabe: Size 29 x 64 x 186mm. Weight 825g. Hardness: 45HSD.
His comment was that the deep orange line is a little toxic, however I have had no crunchiness or stray scratches so maybe it has worn off, or doesnt matter once you work up a slurry? But just thought I should mention that it is there
The stone is soft-medium hardness, I'd say around 2+ or 3/5, very pleasant to use and works up slurry/mud very fast. Very easy to get nice, even kasumi (assuming your knife has no low/high spots)
Paid: 350 USD
Asking:300 USD 260 250
Let me know if you want any additional pictures
