I'll make you a sponsor offer you can't refuse...
This is going to be a bit of a weird one... but basicallly I've decided that 1 Mazaki is enough for me (a few months ago already), but I can't really make up my mind which one to keep. Finally figured I'd let the market decide. In case of interest in both knives I reserve the right to... take a few days to make up my mind.
If there's interest in both I probably have a slight preference for keeping the suji simply because I have a lot more gyutos than I have sujis.
Price is 250 (euros) + shipping for either of them. Prefer to keep it within EU.
I think both of these are either 2021 or 2022 vintage. The gyuto is definitly the 'dorito profile' though I actually quite liked it in use - though it's definitly not for rockchopping. Main reason I'm selling is because I'm just not into reactive iron cladding (same reason I sold my Y. Tanaka), and I'm also not that much into heavier workhorses.... yet at the same time I'd like to keep at least 1 as a 'benchmark'.
Both are white #2, both are kasumi model with ho wood / buffalo horn bolster, both are from cleancut, both have only been sharpened once or twice, and both are completely blunt right now so... they're ready for sharpening!
Gyuto weighs 222 grams, the suji weighs 176 grams. Both are front-heavy (3,5 cm in front of the heel for the gyuto, 5 cm for the suji).
If there's any questions or desire for photographs just ask!
