Bought at the end of March this year from Carbon. Just haven't ended up using it as much as I would like (though did use with some regularity for a couple months), and personally can't really justify keeping it. Away it goes!

217 g
242 x 53 mm

Couple notes:
- Stock handle with some custom "improvements" by me. Hated the stock handle (don't we all), and 1) torched the magnolia, and 2) attempted to ebonize the walnut ferrule (steel wool dissolved in vinegar). Torching went okay, ebonizing didn't darken as much as I would have liked. Absolutely could use some TLC - potentially further sanding, some more oil/wax. I have a D-shaped rosewood handle that I ordered to replace but never got around to it, would be happy to throw in for $40. - see here
- Saw regular use for a couple months (home cook, so nothing extreme). Edge touched up twice (2000 once, 800 -> 2000 second time), never thinned.
- Knife shows a bit of use. There are some scuffs from sharpening from unsteady hands on the left side (see second-to-last photo for detail), and there's some somewhat uneven patina. I could attempt to make all of this a bit cleaner, but think whoever ends up with this knife will likely do a better job than I would. I think the photos display well how the knife appears.

Lovely knife! Nice steel, nice flat spot, surprisingly good food release for how flat the bevels are. Light by Mazaki standards. Make it yours! Will ship in original box.

Was $283 new, would love to get $220 shipped CONUS (open to international offers)

God that one was stupidly hard to resist. Since I already have a 210mm Migaki of this profile, and don't feel a need for longer gyutos but once a month perhaps... Still.... I almost sent a PM.

GOOD SALE, GOOD BUY!

Best to both seller and buyer.

Thanks to @HSC /// Knives for making me a workhorse/laser 225mm which is my go-to for serious stuff that needs refinement still. Seriously. Harbeer has saved me like 1400-1800$ - USD no less - of knives since for sure that I'd need to sell back at a loss because well... if longer than most anything I need, than it's the HSC///. Still I feel a surreal appeal towards sellers of 240mm units of my favorite Gyutos with another steel/finish than I have in 210mm, every goddamn time. We speak of illness around here, don't we?

Maz 220$ USD for a unit as neat in grind as this one? It's popcorn money, to me. And I don't have a penny, as far as future goes... BUT a Maz well done at this price has nothing to do with future. It has all to do with opportunity - NOW! 🤪
