This knife was originally a 250mm honyaki, and during the straightening process it decided it wanted to become a 185mm blade...so...here we are. I wasn't thrilled with the quality of the hamon, so I didn't bother doing any fine hand finishing, but there is indeed a hamon and this is indeed a honyaki, and if you so desired you could undertake a much more extensive finishing process to bring it out more than can be seen through the belt finish.
Blade: 185mmx 52mm 26c3 (65hrc) belt finish
Neck: 17mmx18mm
Handle: Burned oak, oiled and waxed
POB: at the heel
Spine: 2.77mm at the neck, 2.09mm at halfway, .61mm 1cm from the tip
Grind: flat to convex 50/50
Weight: 121g
Relieved choil and spine
Edge: .19mm@1mm measured at the midpoint,
Asking $218 U.S+ $28 shipping. As always, if this blade is purchased in conjunction with another I will happily deduct $28 off of the price of the other blade.
