Hello All,
I've recently taken an interest in alloy banding so just to see what there is organically I made this gyuto and gave it an etch. As you can see it's quite extensive and more prominent where the grind is deepest. This knife will serve as the basis for some with perhaps more energetic banding.
Blade: 221mmx56mm 52100 (65hrc) 600 grit hand rubbed finish, etch to reveal the banding
Neck: 20mmx15mm
Handle: Bloodwood and walnut, oil finished and waxed
POB: 25mm from the handle
Spine: 3.44mm at the handle, 2.31mm at halfway, .4mm 1cm from the tip
Grind: flat to convex RH bias
Weight: 164g
Relieved choil and spine
Edge: .15mm@1mm measured at the midpoint,
Asking $290 U.S + $25 shipping. As always, if this blade is purchased in conjunction with another I will happily deduct $25 off of the price of the other blade.
Thanks for looking!
