I bought these two as an economical way to try out some MagnaCut. Both knives are in excellent condition: just used for a couple of rounds of test cuts (not even a full meal). Never sharpened or stropped.

The tips are these (especially the petty) are exceptionally thin, so I'll be sending them out in ABS/felt edge guards with a couple extra layers of cardboard for extra rigidity.

Note the simple handle installation method that Matt used for this line of knives as pictured.

Looking at it I'd say the tip was overground, probably by the scotchbrite belt, and not tipped. That one is probably on me.
