Continuing the train of weird sales, here’s an @MSicardCutlery Honyaki that I tried to etch and polish. This thing is so freaking hard my hands and forearms hurt just looking at it. I reset the etch like 3-4x because ferric chloride did something weird and left strange artifacts - I think significantly increasing my likelihood for arthritis. By no means is this a perfect kasumiJLA piece. Highlighting some scratches I wasn’t able to get out despite my honest best efforts. Polish aside the knife itself is great - peak thin convex ground Msicard goodness. It’s handled with a nice piece of Turkish walnut that maintains forward balance despite how light the blade is.
