Really hesitant to sell this since this is one of my favorite pieces and some of Matt’s cleanest work, but since my other post isn’t moving and I’ve been picking up slightly shorter knives more often, reluctantly listing this guy for 385$ shipped CONUS

OG Listing w/ Detailed Specs:
https://www.kitchenknifeforums.com/...-wolfram-special-low-carbon-chef-knife.67081/

I polished the acid etching off and put on a kasumi finish. There’s a lot of interesting detail both from the banding in the low carbon cladding, some of the carbon migration, and what I understand to be a quench line (like hamon without clay?). Otherwise I had this bocote and marble horn handle custom made (shoutout to boogwa), closer to the thinner taihei style handles. Definitely among the cleanest grinds I’ve ever seen, with very even thin convexity, nice DT, and a blindingly thin tip. It’s a really functional midweight laser, the steel takes a really keen edge off high grit stones - and I’ve only sharpened it once on BBW.

thinga beauty.

I have three things to say:

1- Nice polishing job on this one!
2- Matt's grind is always on point.
3- That orchid looks like really awesome!

GLWS 🙂
The one thing I like least about desert living is watching my orchids sslloowwllyy
curl up and die

I have one that I mist daily; it’s still technically alive.

I'm thinking so.

I've received a knife from a smoker once. One of my Fav knives now, but I still remember instantly bursting into coughing and tearing up when I opened that box.
I have traumatic memories of mama driving me somewhere with the window barely cracked open while sucking down on a full-strength cigarette.

Stop complaining! I opened the window for you.

Haha they are so hard to maintain. I know friends who do practically nothing and practically leave it abandoned and it blooms like there is no tomorrow. The more I try to take care of them, the sooner they die. If I leave them alone, they die. Gneh.

Ok enough hijacking's about orchids, GLWS man! 😜

When I lived coastal, they practically took care of themselves.
