I got this a while back, looked at it and placed it in a drawer and forgot about it. It’s a beautiful knife, as you can see. I just know I am going to reach for other knives before this. Never used. Lacquer still there. The wenge handle has some tiny hairline imperfections that I’m sure will be gone when oiled. I included photos for inspection. I just don’t want to touch the knife before selling it. I can oil it before shipping if preferred. So hopefully this finds someone who will use it.

$320 shipped CONUS priority but International may have to talk about additional fees.

Heel to edge length: 202mm
Height: 48.5mm
Width at heel: 3.5mm
Weight:165g
Maker: Nakagawa Uchi-Hamono
Sharpener: Morihiro hamono
Brand: Hatsukokoro

Don’t let the thickness fool you. These knives are FORMIDABLE. Although I highly doubt morihiro himself sharpened these. It was definitely one of his apprentices. But yeah, amazing amazing knives these are.

It should be described as “Nakagawa x Morihiro Hamono”.

Unfortunately, I have watched his Instagram reels and with all due respect, Bro can’t even hold his cell phone straight anymore without shaking.

This is a beast knife! GLWS

No problem with me. I share the same sentiments about anything described as a recently-made Morihiro nowadays.
Not wanting to appear disingenuous but the title description was made for convenience and brevity. The word “hamono” is usually omitted even if it’s common knowledge that there are apprentices working on the knives in the workshop. Until Morihiro-san retires officially, I will give him the benefit of the doubt that anything that comes out of Morihiro Hamono has been inspected and of quality worthy of his approval and stamp.
So I have included additional information in the description but retained the title. Thanks.

Baba hamono is morihiro hamono?

My mistake. I was trying to think of other companies using Morihiro like Baba and Sakai Kikumori and I typed Baba instead. Correction done.👍🏼
