So I envisioned in my attempt to unload knives I don't use I'd do three sales. Then, I thought it would be creative to throw some low price knives out there, and call it 2A. That worked OK, not great, and now I think I'm stuck with 2B, instead of 3. Anyway, whatever we call it, here are the knives.
1.Evan Antzenberger Honyaki Gyuto 245 x 61 SOLD
Purchased here; link to original post:

Never used after purchase. I thought I would re-handle to something larger for my big hands, but the original handle is stellar, so I never did. Current photos to follow below.
Asking $800 Paypal, shipped CONUS. Will cover first $25 Int'l.
2. Shig Kasumi 240, burl/ebony handle SOLD
I've searched extensively through this forum, the previous forum, the other not to be mentioned forum, my email, and I don't know where I picked this up. The blade shows signs of use, but is quite pristine.
Measurements:
Edge length: 241mm
Height at heel: 54mm
Weight: 230 grams
The Octagonal wa handle is beautiful. I think its Maple burl, but could be tamarind. Ebony ferrule. Photos to follow.
Asking $1,200 Paypal, shipped CONUS. Will cover first $25 Int'l.
3.Marko AEBL 240 WH grindSOLD
Purchased here; link to original post:

Not used after purchase. I found another Marko WH shortly after this one, which is a knife I use often. Perfect example of Marko's fit and finish, amazing D handle etc. All in all a knife I love, but just have another Marko WH I like more.
Asking $700 PayPal, shipped CONUS. Will cover first $25 Int'l.
4. Inotada Tamahgane Honyaki 225 - Ikeda forged - custom handle - WITHDRAWN FOR NOW
Acquired this knife a few years ago from a well known member here on this forum. Was part of a multi knife trade. As you all know well by now, I don't like original Ho wood handles, so I had it re-handled for better balance. This knife has never been used. I had a 'search for the perfect honyaki' phase, and was lucky enough to find my grail knife. Thought I'd give this one a shot, but never did.
Photos will follow as I describe my reasoning for price. It was valued at $1,450 in my trade. Add to that my custom handle. However, somewhere along the line, during shipping to Cali and back for the handle, or more likely my not oiling it well enough during storage, it has developed a pit on the right side, a couple inches down from the tip. Would never affect performance, but a blemish is a blemish. My asking price attempts to reflect this.
Measurements:
Edge length: 225
Height at heel: 48
Weight: 225 grams
Asking $1,100 Paypal, shipped CONUS. Will cover first $25 Int'l.
5. Pair of Haburn Bunkas, AEB-L, and stainless Damascus - DAMASCUS SOLD, AEBL WITHDRAWN FOR NOW
These were both part of custom orders from Ian. Both orders were matching gyutos and bunkas. I had a serious bunk obsession. I love these knives. But one day a true old school Kono Fuji Bunka found me, or I found it. I think people know how much of a fan I am of Ian and his work over the years. But I don't reach for these knives. Ian is admittedly pricey, but I'm listing these well below cost, and/or current Haburn listings. Photos to follow.
Measurements/details
AEB-L - Maple burl, SS spacers, silky oak ferrule
Edge length: 165
Height at heel: 42
Weight: 140 grams
Damascus - Stainless chevron damascus, integral, ironwood, nickel silver and carbon fiber ferrule
Edge length: 172
Height at heel: 42
Weight: 175 grams
Asking:
AEB-L $600 Paypal, CONUS. Will cover first $25 Int'l.
Damascus $850 Paypal, CONUS. Will cover first $25 Int'l.
I'm selling these individually, but will discount $100 to anyone who wants them both.
