Thinking of picking one up, would be my first JNAT, Where would it fall in range from a AI 1k, Chosera 3k, Kitayama 8k?

Probably use after the Kitayama 8K
Though I have some other suita (maybe Okunomonn) that feels more like a 5k starting range. The Ohira Renge Suita I have is clearly finer and less fast than that one

Thanks Foody, would it be a good finisher for fish slicers and honyaki's that I am trying to get a refined edge on?

fine naturals and Ohira Renge are good after Kitayama 8000.
Kitayama 8000 is a fast stone and a good basis because it removes scratches where the Ohira hyde them because of foggy light reflections.

@Lazarus, can't comment on that as I have neither type of knife :O
If you can ask the seller for their opinion that would be the best thing. If you're looking at the lovely ones Maksim just put up, have fun and good luck XD
