Welp, here I am selling a knife I swore I never would, funny how that goes. Thing is I need money, so sacrifices must be made.
Up for sale is my Kemadi Bulat gyuto. A beast of a knife that cuts with the best of them, with incredible steel to boot
Knife has been recently refinished and sharpened by the team over at District Cutlery who did a killer job, it hasn’t been used since I got it back but the edge finish are both great. The etch job brought out all the wonderful banding this steel holds. Though there are some vertical marks from the machinery they are consistent can only be seen in certain light. A patina will form on top of the etch after use and can take on some really nice patterns and colors
I labeled this knife as “older” because of its KU finish, which is a smoother, lighter texture and color as apposed to the newer blades which have a much rougher and darker finish.
There isn’t much taper until the grind starts at the tip, which it then thins out quite a bit.
Dimensions are
247x55
277gs
Balance is right at the pinch slightly in front of the kemadi mark. The handle is amboyna burl. The spine and choil are rounded and smooth. All of this combines into an extremely comfortable grip and cutting experience.
I’ve stated my admiration for these knives and this steel many times on the forum already, this one hurts to let go but for any of you who have been curious of these blades, this is the one to grab.
I am the original owner. Bought this new back in 2020 for $465
Looking for $420 shipped
Comes with a saya
Let me know if there are and questions and thanks for looking!
