Hello all - am getting out of the hobby and am looking to unload a few stones.

First up: a smaller Nakayama Suita purchased from @lacasadetoishi on instagram.

Measures 18.5 x 6.5 x 3 (CM)

Cuts extraordinarily fast for something this fine. Very high contrast possible with the stone as well. Reveals the grain structure like no other stone I have. It's on the upper end of the hardness spectrum, but an easy stone to use if you have a light hand and atoma slurry.

Stone will ship from Hong Kong via HK post. I'll cover the first 200 HKD of all shipping costs (roughly 25 USD).

Shipping a 1 kilo package with tracking number to the US will cost roughly 320 HKD, just for reference.

Letting this one go at cost: 550 500 USD.

A great price to get into something from Nakayama, without having to pay the premium that's usually associated with the mine.

Next up: a Wakasa asagi bought from Watanabe.

Measures 21 x 8 x 3 (CM)

Cuts slower than the suita I have for sale, but still fast for something this fine. You can still see Watanabe's markings on the side.

Extremely dense stone. Fair warning to the buyer: you either need perfectly flat bevels or a light, skilled hand to use this for knife polishing. Originally bought for razor use but decided to try it with polishing as well with pretty good results. Slightly less contrast, but a true mirror finish is possible with this stone. If you're a woodworker or are into polishing Kanna/kiridashi, this is the stone for you. Perfect as a finisher.

Stone will ship from Hong Kong via HK post. I'll cover the first 200 HKD of all shipping costs (roughly 25 USD).

Shipping a 1 kilo package with tracking number to the US will cost roughly 320 HKD, just for reference.

Letting this one go at: 765 600 550 300 USD.

Last up for this thread: a Maruoyama Shiro suita from @toishigram on instagram.

Measures 20 x 7.8 x 3 (CM)

A typical Shiro suita from Maruoyama, but with the addition of a few renge spots on the stone. More will be revealed as you continue to use and flatten it.

A little harder than typical examples of stones from this mine, but soft compared to the other two above. A contrasty, kasumi finish is available. You can use it without generating an atoma slurry first, but use a light hand until you've built up some mud. Perfect as the second-last stone in your progression, or as a finisher if you're into hazier finishes. Hides scratches that haven't been completely polished out extremely well. Basically a polishing cheat code.

The lines are totally safe; I haven't felt them once in any polishing session. Sealed with black lacquer on each face of the stone to guarantee longevity.

Stone will ship from Hong Kong via HK post. I'll cover the first 200 HKD of all shipping costs (roughly 25 USD).

Shipping a 1 kilo package with tracking number to the US will cost roughly 320 HKD, just for reference.

Letting this one go at: 700 630 550 USD.

That nakayama suita is very nice and at a good value price. Someone looking for a fine finisher needs to snap it up asap

I don’t recommend this seller.

He contacted me agreeing to the purchase of the stone, I paid him immediately as requested by PayPal in HKK, sent him my full address, he said he would ship out the stone asap and everything was settled.

Then the next day he changed his mind saying he wanted to sell to someone else and refuses to send the stone.🤷🏻‍♂️

I’ve never experienced something like this before, and feel this is blatant abuse of BST
