I love Partridge(Ruffed Grouse) stew but I have to get away from potatoes, I'm looking for some ideas. I had my limit this morning by 7:00 so it should be a great year for them.
I'm just wondering if the European grouse is anything like our Ruffed, from everything I've seen they are all red meat kinda like our spruce grouse orActually cooked fresh grouse a few days ago - just a simple oven roast. Wasn’t particularly keen on its flavour though, very strong gamey flavour.
I'm not supposed to know what Spruce grouse taste like here , I'm not keen on Woodcock either.Spruce grouse tastes like pine trees......
