Purchased this knife for $420 here:
https://www.kitchenknifeforums.com/threads/ryusen-blazen-270mm-western-saya.68656/

I got the handle a very big upgrade. It’s stabilized western myall wood from @Tekkz and @birdsfan did an amazing job making the handle for me.

The handle material and cost came close to about $200.

I’ve touched up the knife once but it has a scratch from it. The cladding on this is extremely soft lol

I am looking to get $450 $425 for this shipped CONUS. For international shipping, I can cover the first $25

Hi, where is the weight balance now? Are those scratches from heel to tip from abrasives?
The balance is right at the pinch grip.

The scratches cou from abrasives. The cladding on these is extremely soft and if you reflect light on different angles you will see a lot of scratches as this has seen use. It’s just very typical of this line I believe.

Since there was a question about balance, I thought I should chime in, since Praj, Trent, and I had a long discussion about it while I was doing the rehandle. The total weight of the knife increased less than 1 gram after the rehandle leaving the balance unchanged.

I also feel like I need to sing the praises of this knife. Absolutely top notch fit and finish on the spine and choil. I did this while doing a Takamura Pro line. They looked nearly identical! Quite gorgeous knife!

And Prajwal is a great member to do business with. Buyers have confidence!

Was really fun chatting with you during the process and you did an amazing job on both the handles. I'm tempted to buy the Ryusen just to keep the matching pair together. 😅 I don't have a pic of them side by side but maybe Praj does.

The spine and choil is actually done by Jon at JKI, the original is not bad tho
