Very interesting unique knife. 300mm yanagiba made from shirogami and wrought iron / steel twisted Damascus. I’m continuing to work on the polish to highlight all the details in the cladding, but both hira and kireha currently are stone polished - so no low spots at all. Steel is very abrasion resistant and hard, but feels very tough at the same time. Aesthetically this is maybe my favorite single bevel I’ve worked with. It’s got grain and banding in the wrought, but is also Damascus with the steel! I just had this in a closet for a year or so and have used it once, so figure if someone else would appreciate and use it that’d be best!

Came with some wabi-sabi - namely a healthy bend and accompanying low spot and a small overgrind on the spine side of the ura. The overgrind causes no sharpening issues and the bend and low spot have been dealt with.

287 true edge length, 38mm tall
Heavy blade with a 5mm spine at the heel tapering to 2mm at the tip where the grind meets.

I have box and papers still. Also have a matching pure wrought iron clad 210 usuba that I’d sell if you wanted a matching set.

$850 shipped in the USA
