Is this a Kasumi blade that's been polished. Or a different Shigefusa I've not seen before?

yes it's a kasumi. There are many ways to show the surface, the classical way by Shigs is the foggy surface but I chose the half mirror to contrast a bit more.
Actually I could polish the "tip" to mirror if the next owner wants.
 
no it is the baby one, 195mm is almost takobiki ;-)
It is very classical polishing technique, fingerstones and Suita for the uchigumori and polish with cotton for the mirror.
