Small Chip; How Easy to Repair?

i know stringer likes the naniwa SS 2k. but are the lower grit ones suitable for thinning? these are all "soft" resinoids right?

Fwiw - the only lower grit SS I’ve used is the 400, which was really surprisingly good.

I’m less keen on the higher grit stones because of the glazing / loading / whatever it’s called problems.

SS 220 sucks at actual metal removal.
