1 )

Masakage koishi suji 300 mm

Catch and release.
Bought it from a member here ,the knife had some minor micro chipping, never been used much from previous owner.

When arrived I played a bit with it and kasumi Finished it (some of the original grind marks are still visible),but the knife look 100 percent better then when it comes .

310 mm length
42 mm height

Paid 300 usd , selling it for 290 usd

2)

Trios of takobiki all vintage (40 years old)

Bought all of them for practicing on sharpening single and double bevel

Masamoto double bevel takobiki, monosteel, unknown carbon steel (my guess is shirogami 2 )
When arrived was in pretty sad condition

cleaned up by robin dalman who put also a new fantastic handle on it.

297 mm length
38 mm height

Unknown 270 mm takobiki vintage ,nimai , unknown steel

This one was in ok condition when arrived,I changed the handle (now has a octagonal shape handl with water buffalo ferrule) and sharpen it ,nice blade ,sturdy with a screaming sharp steel

4 mm thick at the handle
265 mm length
35 mm height

Unknown 240 mm takobiki from sakai (only info I know is that is from sakai ),nimai ,d shape handle with water buffalo ferrule

This one came untouched, had few spots with rust on the back part ,some damage on the ferrule and it was never sharpened or used it .

I cleaned up the rust spots (still some pitting left but easy to remove if the next owner would want to take care of them ) and put on it a nice kasumi finish .

240 mm length
28 mm height

i want to sell this three toghter for the price of 280 usd , but if someone is really interested in only one here are the prices for each one of them

masamoto 140 usd
takobiki 270 mm ,100 usd
takobiki 240 mm , 80 usd

What's the weight and dimensions on the Mazaki kurouchi 210 mm? Also, what were your impressions? I'm interested in getting a good Gyuto, but I'm not quite settled on what exactly I want yet (I'll make a thread asking for advice at some point).

The kurouchi line is so far the best of the mazaki ,at least my favourite.

51 mm height
220 mm length

And weight? I've seen quite a variation in weights listed as the specs for the different 210mm Mazaki gyutos. I really like the profile on that Mazaki, but this would be my first gyuto and that makes choosing hard. I don't have the experience to tell what I'll like, but my gut feeling says that going for a heavy workhorse may not be what I'll want to start with though.

Few more pictures of the Masamoto and takobiki 240
