$90 shipped sold
800g
330mm
45mm wide
45mm tall
23mm slot height
Slot widths are
9mm for the >< slot
For the || slots:
2.8mm, 3.7mm, 5.5mm, 7.4mm, 9.5mm
This straightening stick is from Japan. I think it's white oak but not sure. Dark stain from soot or ebony wood stain; I forget which. Can be sanded off but not something I want to do. I mainly use my other sakai stick or a flat piece of wood and a table. Wood/book and a table gives me more control when straightening tips, so that's my preference now. I forget how much it was from Japan but things this long cost a decent bit to ship lol. Like $40-50. When using it I found the slots to be a bit too shallow for my preference, but frankly I prefer the countertop and a big piece of wood over it to be a better more precise and controllable method. When straightening, you can use a straightedge for reference, or a countertop. You can also hold the knife horizontally oelr vertically to check for straightness, with the edge facing towards you. Bends can be abrupt or gradual. Make sure to account for eyeglasses bending curves visually, if you have astigmatism
