  • Thinned by Kataba, London. Then Ok further worked some magic on it and made it stone bevel ready. So now its a solid performer and ready for polishing.

*I haven't sharpened it, but I did play with the bevels. Took all but 2 minutes on each side to get a uniform polish. Used a Kiita Tomae on the kanji side and the Shobu I have for sale on the other side.

Bump

Would rather sell but would be open to trades for a used 270mm-300mm honyaki yanagiba. Not a restoration project but one that's had normal use and not in pristine condition. I have other knives/stones I can offer if I need to add more in value.

To be clear I have used this knife and it performs well. I'm happy to keep it, hence no price drops. Ok did a great job setting the bevels up for polishing and performing. Only looking to trade bc yanagibas are my fancy right now and I'd like a honyaki yanagiba. Plus for every knife that comes in, one has to go.
