SOLD Tanaka x Kyuzo 240 Blue 1 Gyuto

Up for sale is a 240mm Tanaka x Kyuzo Blue #1 Migaki gyuto with a ziricote handle. I recently picked up the same version as a bunka and the 240 isn’t getting as much use as it deserves. I’ve had it for about 6 months and has not been sharpened yet other than a light touch up from the retailer at the time of purchase.

Measurements: 50mm height, 2.6mm spine thickness, 2mm half way down the edge, 0.8mm 1cm from the tip, 197g weight

Asking: $500 including CONUS shipping, willing to discuss international shipping.

Can I ask you about how reactive are these knives ? I’m a chef 30 years now and have had problems with carbon clad knives ..! I have a few with stainless clad that I absolutely love..! Best knives ever..! Or kurichi finish too

Absolutely, this particular knife is iron clad so it’s pretty reactive over the whole blade but easy to clean up if needed. I find that it patinas very quickly but I’ve had no issues of rust as I wipe my carbon blades dry while cooking. In a professional setting it may be tougher to use full carbon depending on if it sits damp

Yes they are very hard to come buy these days ..! I have two toghishi blades 210mm k tip and blue 1 core and 240mm Gyuto white 1 core stainless steel clad on both ..! My absolute favorite ..!!
I also just bought the Yoshikazu Tanaka kyozu kurouchi extras height..! 240mm and that’s the best knive I have hands down..! Aside from old collections of stuff ..! Over the last 30 years ..!

i'll let you know if i sell mine (stainless clad blue 1). i have too many 240mm gyutos right now and don't want to be a "collector". but i also want to try new knives. just not sure which one to sell yet.

haha i was very close to buying the AS version since i like mine so much. was up late one night and saw one come up for sale. decided it wasn't worth the price difference to upgrade. was gone in the morning.

Absolutely hands down bar none bro ..! Yes yes heard that ..!! Loud and clear ..!! There was a few Yoshikazu Tanaka blades that hit Bernal cutlery a few months ago that where AS and they all sold out it 2 minutes flat ..!! Lmao I have to say that the Tanaka kyuzo extra height 58 240 mm Gyuto I just got wow omg ..! I’m stoked on it ..!

I have heard but can’t confirm..! That Yoshikazu Tanaka AS doesn’t take a edge as good as his B1 or W 1 does ?? They are both killer ..!!
