There are so many amazing knives out there and it seems like the bar is just constantly being raised. I'm fortunate to have that Rader gyuto; it was the realization of the thoughts and day-dreams of many years. I actually just got an email from him about the next project: it's gonna be cool (but then again, "uncool" really isn't in his options list).
There are a few knives in particular that always come to mind when coveting is mentioned.
I really like the set that Hoss did for Dillard; they're so over-the-top bling, but somehow they don't look at all gaudy or over-done. In fact, I find them elegant and breath-takingly beautiful:

But, if we really want to talk bling and mind-blowing skill, I don't know if it can get anymore knutzo than the DT Gishiki Bocho. The way that the composite pieces meet perfectly right at the shinogi line makes my jaw drop. IIRC the pattern on the back was different too. I couldn't find more/better pictures and I think that the mystery owner should send it to me so that I can take some more...

In a completely other direction, but no less awesome or unique is the tamahagane knife that Sara's parents gave Jon. Sadly, I couldn't find the original post and I don't remember there ever being that many pictures in the first place. What's with people with rare, one-of-a-kind awesome blades not posting more pictures?!?! Again, I think that Jon should probably just send it to me so that I can help him out... or, at the very least post the link to the original thread here.
Another is Cdawg's (did he maybe lose his mind and sell it?) 8sun Unground Miroshi that shows the hand-forging bad-assery that Carter is capable of when hes not flying around in helicopters. The pictures don't show it, but the Urasuki is FORGED, not ground and damn-near perfect. Also, to add to the ultra-rare, there-will-never-be-another-ness of the knife, Fish did the wa-conversion and handle.
