One of my earliest quality knives from a western maker. Who could have guessed what this knife got started. A rarely posted Gyuto from Tillman Leder. I’ve used it a few times and have loved it every time its turn came up. Problem is that it deserves a home that can give it more use. The handle alone is a work of art. One of the nicest in my collection. Believed to be Honduran Rosewood with a marbled horn. Steel is believed to be Niolox. I’m looking for $485 shipped and insured for this knife. Canadians can have it for a bit less because I save a bit on shipping.
Specs are …
Blade length … 259mm
Edge length … 245mm
Depth at heel … 53mm
Thickness measured at spine … 3.14mm at heel, 2.22mm mid blade, 1.16mm 1” from tip
Weight … 220gms
A few pics …
I couldn’t resist adding the Tillman’s “welcome to the family meal”. I still remember that roasted lamb shoulder. A fitting accompaniment for the Tillman.
