Catch and release. No cuts have been made. I bought this thinking it was stainless. The product page listed it as such. But it is W2. It's such a beautiful blade and handle combo. I really wish it was stainless.
Seems to have better fit and finish versus some of the other gingas. The spine and choil are slightly rounded and nicely polished. The only possibly negatives I see are the kanji is very superficial. And the balance point with the ebony handle is around 1 cm back the handle.
Trades are welcome for Ashi or similar stainless 210-270 Petty/Suji or 180 gyuto.
