Sorry if this is not the correct place to post, but I received this paper with one of my knives. Unfortunately I don't know which knife or what is says. It is hand written with a red stamp.

Can anyone help with translation? Thanks!

LOL. It would help if weren't upside down,
It says Warenabe ni tojibuta 破れ鍋に綴じ蓋。
The translation is roughly " Putting a Lid on a cracked pot".
Meaning, something pointless, a pointless act.
Pretty funny thing to have come with a knife.
Was the knife from a Maker or store?

Thanks for the translation, really interesting! I really don't remember where it came from, though it had to be knife related.

Does the red mark in the corner mean anything?

Thanks again Ken!

The "red mark" is what is called a "chop" in English. It is a signature seal of the writer, maker etc.
