Unkown Shiro Kamo Gyuto Series

Hello,

does anybody know this knife series ? I can´t find it in any online store. It´s a Shiro Kamo SG2 Gyuto 210mm with octogonal handle. The lable at OVP says "G-667WM". Maybe its a prototype ???. I bought it in a big local knive and woodworking store for 150$. They bought it from Shiro Kamo as a sample.

Interesting - the only other SG2 I’ve seen from him is a damascus series that runs around $300 for a 210mm.

Certainly looks like either a prototype or a brand new series. In the <$200 price range is where he normally has high-carbon, iron clad san mai.

Yes, maybe its a brand new series which will be released at next few months. The actual 210mm Shirogami (San Mai) costs ~225$/200€. The SG2 versions maybe ~50€ more. I like the ultra thin blades from Shiro Kamo. I have a Nakiri from him too
