Heard loads of great things about Wakui, particularly his V2 steel.
Would like to try a gyuto from this line, 210 or 240 both fine.
I am based in UK, so local sellers preferred due to shipping cost.
Cheers!

Wakui V2 from Japan Messer Shop has 210&240 left.
Just got a 240 from them a couple of days ago but haven´t used it so far.
Finish is impeccable. Ground to a razor thin so they will need a micro bevel put on before hitting the board.
Nice grind, primary bevel polished and the handle is really nice.
Balance is almost "too good". Mine is ~180g and feels lighter than my Carter ~130g.
If you like blade heavy, you might have to chop a piece of that handle off;-)

This shop in switzerland just got Wakui shirogami´s and aogami´s in, if that could be interesting too.
I decided for the V2 from above due to customs tax & shipping making it much more expensive.

Mine looks pretty much like this:

thank you buddy for the detailed explanation. unfortunately Japan Messer doesn't ship to UK.... checked with JKI and they said the same.... so did a vendor in Japan.... guess my best chances are here with the nice members on KKF...

Nobody willing to let go of theirs? Damn those must be good
