Why did Alex Gilmour stop selling natural stones?

I think he's writing a book and so not really selling actively online any more, though I believe he does still sell things if you can go see him and try out in person. Don't quote me on that though.

He's (semi) active over on B&B, so you can ping him a message there if you want to get in touch.
 
I think I remember where you could return the stones bought from him if you wanted, and there was some abuse of that policy. However, as mentioned if you see him in person to try out the stone then you can buy as this solves the issue almost entirely.

I think the above (which was taken from the main page of his site) makes it pretty clear, excerpt :

"I would rather work hands-on, side by side with a few fellows on sharpening technique with matched stones in mind to suit their needs then to just deal the stones out as fast as I can list them on this site."
