Looking for a togashi x Yohei full convex blue #1 or honyaki in any steel.

Taihei ebony handle and caramel/brown horn ferrules in particular.

I prefer to buy outright but have a few Tanaka Super Blue 240s I would trade as well. (Bernal ‘So-Ten’, Strata wide bevel in mirror and regular finishes)

This and a Kitaeji 240 Gyuto are my white whales. Togashi Yohei honyaki really are as good as any knife ever made (I’m on a waitlist for one). Good luck, although I find Ebony handles pull the balance point too far back on Takada’s work (2 out of 5 of my Takada/Yohei knives came with Ebony handles and it throws off their performance IMO). Although the Tahei Ebony does seem lighter.

Anyways GLWS

Thanks! I’m on the hunt, not looking to sell! Protooling had a togashi yohei white 1 honyaki with persimmon handle in stock but it sold. I love the taihei ebony heft despite the balance points you note :)
