Hi everyone,

I'll preface by mentioning, I don't have much or any interest in unbundling the knives until the Uchi is sold.

Yanick 135Cr3 254mm (Ziricote/Imitation Ivory)

+Uchigumori - $2625 USD - ($2500USD dependent on payment method)
https://www.kitchenknifeforums.com/threads/ohira-uchigumori.72672/#post1140090

Steel: 135Cr3/Wrought Iron Clad
Heel Height: 60.1mm
Edge Length: 254mm
Thickness of Spine at Heel: 4.7mm
Weight: 225g
Finish: Kurouchi/Stone Finished Bevels
Handle: Ziricote/Imitation Ivory
Geometry: Slight Convex Midweight

I've held this Yanick, because it honestly is the best Yanick I've held. One of the original knives that really drew me to this hobby and made me interested in Western knife makers. Just really beautiful and the cutting feel/food release is really well balanced.
Condition - Used twice. Tested polishing it once. I can upload up date images later today/tomorrow but it isn't much different.

Bidinger AEBL B-Grind 248mm (Micarta)

Hands down best knife I've used. Not sure what else to say.
Condition - Used for a handful of meals. I can upload up date images later today/tomorrow but it isn't much different.

Take all for $3900USD. Prices are reflective of what I paid.

Thanks all.

Assuming this bundle is still here, can one of you guys tell me what this stone does and how I can use it?
Rubba da knifa onda stona to make prettiea

In all seriousness, the basics are that simple. Finer points are more complicated, but yanicks are relatively easy to work with all the labor he puts in so you should be able to lay the bevel on the stone and hit the zen zone quick. Will let you restore the “factory” kasumi at will

Thanks man. Sounds like this stone is for creating a kasumi finish on the bevel. For something like Yanick, is this one stone enough?

Yep, kasumi stone. Though it’d be an adept edge finisher too - maybe not elite on that front, but good.

You can get away with one stone - long progressions are rarely, if ever needed. The blade will accumulate small scratches from use, but if you aren’t chasing perfection you can go a very, very long with just one decent stone.

A few people also requested up to date photos. I think the first person interested will likely take it but if you guys still want photos here are some, I’ll send them to you in order if the first person is no longer interested.
