Amazing stone. Very strong shaping power, but creamy feling.
More forgiving than many uchigumori stones. I guess this is a kind of perfect balance between sharpness and appearance. Very uncomplicated. Works also very good on stainless.

This is what Shinichi wrote in an email:
„Yes, your Maruo is the finest which I have seen. You should keep.
I had test sharpening at your stone. Then all stamps were removed. So I brought it my business trip to the mine in Kyoto.
I remember, the miner was surprised during grasping his stone again. He said "This stone is amazing good." He is proud of your stone.“

Let me just throw in some unsolicited praise for Nutmeg as a seller. Buy with extreme confidence! Received some stones yesterday from him, everything immaculately packed and shipped, even included a nicely detailed note regarding their use and care. Amazingly smooth transaction, super seller!

Well now I am kicking myself for dropin all my dough on part 1. Nutmeg has some real gems!

Actually I like the part 1 very much. the suitas and Karazus are awesome! Btw I was thinking the big suitas aka renge 17 and Ao renge18 would be the first to be sold but it seems they need more time to find new homes.

I would be interested in the number 1, can you PM me (i don't think I can PM you directly)
