Ura has a small shallow microbevel in the midsection of the blade edge that I don't want to get out. That can be done by grinding the ura or reducing the height. The ura on the spine is not planar with the edge. The edge is straight for most of the knife. There's a slight bend at the tip that is too subtle to try to get out, and a bend at the heel that I do not have enough force to get out (need a bigger bending stick). Steel is very bitey into hair, feels like white 2 x aogami super. Hammer marks near heel where I had to make uraoshi contact. The heel and tip are ground much thinner than the middle of the blade, because of how the blade is forged as well. The blade faces are more thin there. Low spot at heel. Pitting on ura. Pitting on edge near tip, leading to some small chips. The steel on the ura has a lower lam line on the ura compared to most makers but the knife was still really hard to bend. Steel is on the harder side of deba steel I've tried. Original handle had brass ferrule, this is an extra handle I had
