Picked this up from Jesse Beatson over on facebook’s Japanese knife group. He polished it nicely and put new scales on the handles which look to be stabilized hardwood of some kind. The result is a slimmer handle with great fit and finish and a little more of a tactical look.

Oh yeah, and it’s got the cou-tou kanji which some have speculated means TF himself forged it.

Got a great price, which I will pass on

190x45, 174g

Received today in great shape, thanks. So now I know what "cou-tou kanji" is. Come to find out, two TF Denkas I have (purchased together from an estate), a 240 Gyuto, and a Nakiri, are both cou-tou kanji knives.

Cou-tou family 🙌 I might have a cou-tou kanji 270 that I might be moving on in the near future!
