Selling my Takada no Hamono (extra tall) Honyaki and Gesshin Ittesu Honyaki. Ideally, I would like to sell these two together. These are some of the best knives I own but they are too beautiful

Takada:
  • White 2 custom order meausring around 232mm heel to tip, ~50.5 mm tall at the heel, weight 175g (please see pictures below)
  • Bought from forum member Todd not long ago (Feb'23). Did not use it once, still has the protective lacquer as when I received it from Todd.
  • Forged by Nakagawa

  • Paid $1,400 plus some paypal fees (credit card)
  • Includes white box and original packaging.
Gesshin Ittetsu:
  • Bought from Jon at JKI (initial sharpening done by him). Used to prep 3 meals at home and has developed a slight patina.
  • White 2 measures 230mm help to tip, 49mm at the heelp, and weights 225g.
  • Comes with fitted saya.
  • Paid $1,150 (Mar'23)

Quick update everyone. My wife doesn't want me to sell the Takada, she actually got pretty upset with my idea (she is a keeper). I decided to keep both knives and I have refunded the buyer.
