Number 4 for the week, and a counterpart to one I posted earlier. A very thinly ground and reasonably light gyuto, but this time cut for a left handed user.

  • Blade: 247mmx56mm AEB-L (63hrc)-320 grit hand finish
  • Neck: 16mmx22mm
  • Handle: 128mm, tapering from 22.5mmx24.1mm to 18.9mmx22.7mm, burned oak, oiled and waxed.
  • POB: 63mm from handle
  • Spine: 2.54mm at the neck, 1.86mm at 13cm, .77mm 1cm from the tip
  • Grind: flat to convex LH bias
  • Weight: 160g
  • Edge: .1mm-0
  • Relieved spine and choil
