Stones Addict (terminal case)
1- Tsubaya’s Yoshikazu Tanaka KU Blue 1 270mm gyuto with yew handle. This knife is an incredible cutter, ground super thin behind the edge (see choil shot), with a substantial spine but the super thin grind puts it at a much lighter weight than you would expect from the spine. Steel is Yoshikazu Tanaka’s great Aogami 1. Tanaka is the smith behind the Konosuke Fujiyama Blue 1 line for reference and is a recognized master craftsman from Sakai. Yew handle, knife is in near new condition, only had initial sharpening and light use at home. Has some light patina on the bevel from chopping meat (see picture, that was probably the last time I used it).

2- Cris Anderson (CJA Scorpionforge) 150mm AEB-L mini gyuto/tall petty.
Wonderful little knife but I just rarely reach for my stainless knives and I'm transitioning to only san mai or honyaki knives. The knife is thin, super thin behind the edge, beautiful distal taper, and very thin tip. Fit and finish are Cris Anderson's usual great work. The handle is a beautiful piece of Koa with a bit of a dual character, the spacer arrangement is red G-10/black G-10/red tru stone/black G-10/red G-10 and it works very nicely with the wood I think.
The knife is in almost new condition, I gave it initial sharpening and then touched it up on Aizu a couple times but it's not scuffed high up the blade face (although there's a small scuff from the magnetic bar on the left side). Used only at home.
Steel AEB-L
Handle to tip 176mm
Heel to tip 149mm
Heel height 49mm
thickness of the spine out of the handle 2.8mm
thickness at the heel 2.6mm
Thicknes halfway 1.3mm
Thickness @1cm from the tip 0.7mm
Price: $500USD shipped in North America, shipping worldwide for additional cost.
The basic model would already cost more than this direct, and it has upgraded wood and spacers putting it over $600USD
