Continuing to organize and cull random stuff I accumulated. All prices include shipping in the USA. Happy to ship international but we'll need to discuss shipping costs.
Ohira Uchigumori (from Nutmeg originally), $560
185x65x45
Absolute mud bath of a stone. Extremely easy to use and excels with honyaki or pre-poilshing. Hardened steel turns a totally matte white with some lovely iridescence and sparkle. Will leave a faint scratch pattern on soft iron. Loads of contrast on san mai.
ao renge? hand sawn awasedo, $130
215x82x25
Super fast and feels almost chalky and glassy at the same time. Reactive but not too bad. Great edges and polishes are okay if you manage pressure well, but a little scratchier than I'd like. Has nice hand-sawn sides indicating this was mined / processed before the 1930s.
colorful suita, $175
197x69x27
Oddball stone. absolutely wild looking with renge, iromono colors, etc. Lines aren't causing issues. Fast and fine polishing stone. Great suita for a great price. Sold to me as Okudo but meh, who knows. I. like this one quite a bit for sharpening and polishing.
Asagi Kan, $85
210x57x17
Very fine - capable of finishing razors. Great for uraoshi as well. Doesn't get grabby with iron though, which makes this a great bargain polisher if you're chasing very refined finishes. Does have a crack along one side half way down the stone.
