Selling my favorite knife that I purchased earlier in in my journey with Japanese blacksmiths.
Makoto Kurosaki VG10 suminagashi 210 gyuto
Purchased from Carbon Knife Co. a little over a year ago. This is a beautiful knife, and surprisingly hard to beat for performance. The grind is a very nice convex that cuts very smoothly, and the Migaki finish has no drag. The heat treat seems to be excellent, it is due to be sharpened, but it is still the original edge! Excellent fit and finish(this sort of ruined me for a lot of knives!) beautifully polished choil and spine. Ebony and black pakka ferrule. Excellent condition, but there are some light scratches on the core steel from stropping.
47.5mm at the heel
158 grams
1.8mm spine
214mm edge length
Now $175 shipped!
